Capitalworks Emerging Markets Acquisition Corp. announced the pricing of its $200 million IPO and its units are expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol “CMCAU” Wednesday, December 1.
The new SPAC intends to focus on high-growth companies operating in select emerging markets, with the ability to replicate their business models sustainably across other emerging markets or translate their products, services, or technologies to developed markets. Capitalworks Emerging Markets is led by Chief Executive Officer Roberta Brzezinski, and Chief Financial Officer Herman G. Kotze.
Total SPAC deal count for 2021 year-to-date is now 562. This offering is expected to close on Friday, December 3.
Barclays is the sole book-running manager for the offering. DLA Piper LLP (US) is serving as Issuer’s Counsel with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP serving as Underwriter’s Counsel. Marcum LLP serves as auditor. Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company is acting as trustee.
