Athena Consumer Acquisition Corp. (ACAQ.U) Prices $200M IPO

Athena Consumer Acquisition Corp. announced the pricing of its $200 million IPO and its shares are expected to begin trading on the NYSE under the symbol “ACAQ.U” Wednesday, October 20.

The new SPAC intends to concentrate its search for a target business operating in the technology and consumer sectors. Athena Consumer is led by Chairman Isabelle Freidheim, CEO Jane Park, COO  and President Jennifer Carr-Smith, and CFO Angelina Smith.

Total SPAC deal count for 2021 year-to-date is now 477. This offering is expected to close on Friday, October 22.


Citigroup Global Markets Inc. (“Citigroup”) is serving as sole bookrunner and representative of the underwriters, and Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. is acting as co-manager of the offering. Reed Smith LLP is serving as Issuer’s Counsel with Shearman & Sterling LLP serving as Underwriter’s Counsel. WithumSmith+Brown, PC serves as auditor. Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company is acting as trustee.
