Venus Acquisition Corp. (VENAU) Prices $40M IPO

Venus Acquisition Corp. announced the pricing of its $40 million IPO this evening and its units are expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol “VENAU” Tuesday, February 9.

The new company aims to combine with a business that has a connection to the Asian market. Venus Acquisition Corp. is led by Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Yanming Liu alongside Chief Financial Officer River Chi.

Total SPAC deal count for 2021 year-to-date is now 120 with $35.7 billion in gross proceeds raised. This offering is expected to close on Thursday, February 11.


Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. is acting as the lead left bookrunner and the representative of the underwriters in the offering and Brookline Capital Markets, a division of Arcadia Securities, LLC is a joint bookrunner. Becker & Poliakoff LLP is serving as Issuer’s Counsel with Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP serving as Underwriter’s Counsel. Friedman LLP serves as auditor. Wilmington Trust Company is acting as trustee.
