Poema Global Holdings Corp. announced the pricing of its upsized $300 million IPO this morning and its units are expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol “PPGHU” Wednesday, January 6.
The new company aims to combine with a highly-scalable technology business in Europe or Asia with proven monetization and unit economics. Poema Global is led by Co-Chairmen Emmanuel DeSousa and Joaquin Rodriguez Torres, alongside CEO Homer Sun and President Marc Chan.
Total SPAC deal count for 2021 year-to-date is now 7 with $1.6 billion in gross proceeds raised. This offering is expected to close on Friday, January 8.
Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and UBS Securities LLC are acting as joint book-running managers of the offering. Kirkland & Ellis LLP is serving as Issuer’s Counsel with Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP serving as Underwriter’s Counsel. WithumSmith+Brown serves as auditor.
