Altimeter Growth Corp. (AGCUU) Prices $450M IPO

Altimeter Growth Corp. announced the pricing of its $450 million IPO this evening and its units are expected to begin trading on the Nasdaq under the symbol “AGCUU” tomorrow, Thursday, October 1st.

This new company aims to combine with a technology target that has a large addressable market and strong unit economics. It is led by Chairman, CEO and President Brad Gerstner and General Counsel and Director Hab Siam.

Total SPAC deal count for 2020 year-to-date is now 117 with $44.4 billion in gross proceeds raised. This offering is expected to close on Monday, October 5.


Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co., LLC, and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC are acting as book-running managers in the offering. Ropes & Gray LLP serve as Issuer’s Counsel with Kirkland & Ellis LLP serving as Underwriter’s Counsel. WithumSmith+Brown, PC, serves as auditor. Continental Stock Transfer & Trust Company LLC is acting as trustee.
